About Us
Purdue University’s Birck Nanotechnology Center is on the leading edge of research into new technologies involving materials and structures at the atomic scale.
For nearly two decades, Birck has served as a vital contributor in U.S. advances regarding nanotech.
Our 186,000-square-foot shared-use facility includes a 25,000-square-foot iso class 3-4-5-6 (class 1-10-100-1000) nanofabrication cleanroom, the Scifres Nanofabrication Laboratory.
Birck is the research home for 300+ residents, including support staff, graduate researchers, and faculty from six academic colleges. It also hosts 300+ users from Purdue, other universities and industry.
Students and researchers have access to 33,000 square feet of shared labs with state-of-the-art tools. The shared space encourages collaboration on solutions to our major technological challenges.
